Honkai: Star Rail | Version 4.5 Launches August 26
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5, "To Roll the Stars in Astropolis," launched on August 26, 2026. The update takes Trailblazers to Astropolis for new story content, introduces the 5-star characters Robin • Summeretto and Aventurine • Waveflair, and adds new areas and limited-time events.
Honkai: Star Rail begins its journey through Astropolis
Version 4.5 continues the adventure after the events in Planarcadia. Trailblazers travel to Astropolis, the headquarters of Interastral Peace Entertainment, while searching for the power needed to protect Planarcadia from its ongoing crisis. The update includes the new Trailblaze Mission "Astropolis - To Roll the Stars in Astropolis" and an additional Trailblaze Continuance.
The destination expands the game with Astropolis Central District, Lodestar Tower, and Skycall Aery. These locations introduce another side of the Interastral Peace Corporation, where entertainment, corporate influence, and the struggle between its different factions are closely connected.
Robin and Aventurine return in new 5-star forms
Robin • Summeretto joins the playable roster as a 5-star Wind character following the Path of Remembrance. She is a support character who summons the "Summer Songbirds" memosprite, advances a selected teammate's action, restores Energy, and provides several team-wide buffs.
Aventurine • Waveflair is a 5-star Quantum character following the Path of Elation. His damage-focused kit works with the number of attacks performed by the team, allowing him to accumulate Fervor and Punchline before using additional and enhanced Elation Skills.
New events bring racing and additional rewards
"Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix" places the Trailblazer in charge of a racing team competing in Astropolis. Players become the team principal and guide their crew through the new grand prix as they work toward becoming the brightest stars on the track.
Version 4.5 also includes "Minuscule Great Adventure," which challenges players to assemble a small hero squad and clear a series of stages. The returning Gift of Odyssey login event provides 10 Star Rail Special Passes after seven daily check-ins.
Version schedule, requirements, and platforms
Version 4.5 runs until September 28, 2026, at 06:00 (UTC+8). The new Trailblaze Missions and principal events require Trailblaze Level 21, although eligible players can use Finality's Vision to experience selected content early during the version.
Honkai: Star Rail remains available on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. Players should update the game through the launcher, platform store, or automatic console download before entering the new content.
Daisuki's Tip
We recommend checking your Trailblaze Level before beginning the Astropolis story or its main events. Level 21 is the central requirement, while Finality's Vision can provide early access to selected content during Version 4.5.
If you are interested in Robin • Summeretto or Aventurine • Waveflair, review their official abilities and available Warp periods before using your Star Rail Special Passes. Their Paths, combat roles, and team interactions are notably different.
Remember to complete all seven Gift of Odyssey check-ins and review the event schedule before September 28. Some activities close shortly before the version itself ends, so checking the in-game notices can help you avoid missing their rewards.
