Genshin Impact Version Luna VII, titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Andante — Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana,” launches on May 20. The update returns players to Sumeru with a new Archon Quest, three new playable characters, limited-time events, and new Miliastra Wonderland content.
Genshin Impact Version Luna VII launches May 20 with new Sumeru story
Version Luna VII brings the story back to Sumeru, where the nation of wisdom faces a new crisis. Nahida falls into an unexplained slumber, while a mysterious enemy resembling Il Dottore appears and pulls Collei, Ibis King Thoth, Nicole, and other familiar allies into the conflict.
The update also introduces three playable characters: Nicole Reeyn, Lohen, and Prune. Nicole arrives as the first playable member of the Hexenzirkel, Lohen joins as vice captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company, and Prune appears as a self-proclaimed “Witch Hunter.”

What’s New in Genshin Impact
Nicole Reeyn debuts as a 5-star Pyro Catalyst wielder and provides teamwide support through ATK bonuses, shielding, and coordinated attacks. Lohen joins as a 5-star Cryo Polearm character with an aggressive combat style built around his unique “Joy” and “Will to Win” resources.
Prune joins as a 4-star Anemo Catalyst wielder who uses a bell and giant hammer to trigger Swirl reactions and deal multi-Elemental damage. The first half of the Version Luna VII Event Wishes includes Nicole and Prune with Durin’s rerun, while the second half adds Lohen and brings back Mavuika.
The update also adds a new Archon Quest reward window with up to 560 Primogems and Nicole’s Ascension Materials, a new Weekly Boss, the “Guiding Notes” recap feature, autosave improvements, a Klee’s Little Hexenzirkel event, and new Miliastra Wonderland activities.
