STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is a modern reboot of the classic Science Adventure visual novel, rebuilt with updated visuals, refined systems, and expanded story content. The new version is based on STEINS;GATE ELITE while adding a smoother scenario flow, new dialogue, and a brand-new worldline and ending scenario.
The Japanese launch is set for August 20, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game will include Japanese audio and text support for Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

What’s New in STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT
STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT updates the original story with redrawn characters, backgrounds, and event stills. MAGES. also confirmed that in-game voices have been newly recorded, while the soundtrack has been remade by composer Takeshi Abo.
The reboot also introduces E-mote character animation, allowing more dynamic facial expressions and natural character movement during story scenes. With expanded text, a new worldline, and a new ending scenario, this version is designed for both returning fans and new players discovering the story for the first time.
